La carrière d’Arnaud Rebotini débute en 1995 avec quelques maxis techno sortis sur différents labels. En 2000, Arnaud Rebotini sort son premier album, Organique (Artefact, 2000), sous le pseudonyme Zend Avesta. Il fonde parallèlement le groupe Black Strobe, qui sort en 2007 un premier album, Burn Your Own Church réalisé par Paul Epworth (Adèle, Florence And The Machine, Block Party, The Rapture), suivi de Godforsaken Roads en 2014.
Arnaud Rebotini ajoute aux différents aspects de sa carrière et de ses productions, une collaboration avec France Info puisqu’il est le compositeur de l’habillage sonore de la radio de 2009 à 2014. Les débuts d’Arnaud Rebotini et notamment avec le style des productions de Zend Avesta, ouvre aussi sa carrière au cinéma. Après un titre pour Novo, de Jean-Pierre Limosin, c’est avec le réalisateur Robin Campillo que la collaboration d’Arnaud Rebotini avec le cinéma est scellée puisqu’il signe les deux BO de ces deux derniers longs métrages, Eastern Boys et 120 Battements par minute.

Costard impeccable, moustache qui tombe parfaitement, cheveux délicatement gominés, carrure de 3e ligne … Arnaud Rebotini en met plein la gueule dès son apparition sur scène. La scène justement, il la prend littéralement, s’en empare et ne vous lâche plus. Entouré de tous ces claviers et machines analogiques, il construit, dans des sets qui rendent fous, une techno vintage pure et dure à l’évolution lente et hypnotique. La moitié de Blackstrobe peut déjà prétendre au statut de légende de la musique électronique.

Arnaud Rebotini’s career started in 1995 with a series of techno EPs released on multiple labels. In 2000, he released his first LP, Organique (Artefact, 2000), under the name Zend Avesta. In parallel, he founded Black Strobe and released, in 2007, a debut called Burn Your Own Church and produced by Paul Epworth (Adèle, Florence And The Machine, Block Party, The Rapture), followed by Godforsaken Roads in 2014.
On top of the various facets defining his career and productions, Arnaud Rebotini has also collaborated with radio station France Info, having been responsible for their sound design from 2009 to 2014. His early work, especially the Zend Avesta sound, also opened a door into the world of cinema. After composing a track for Novo, by Jean-Pierre Limosin, it was with director Robin Campillo that his love affair with film really began, having created the soundtrack for both of the director’s latest feature-lengths, Eastern Boys and 120 Battements par minute.

Impeccable tailoring, perfectly groomed moustache, hair delicately slicked-back and the build of a flanker… Arnaud Rebotini cuts a fine and striking figure on stage. He quite literally takes control of the stage, grabbing hold of it and never letting go. Surrounded by all his keyboards and analog machines, during his pretty mind-blowing sets he builds a pure, vintage kind of techno, which sinuates slowly and hypnotically. One can safely say that this one-half of Blackstrobe is already one of the true legends of electronic music.
